Training and technical assistance is one of the main priorities of the WiLDAF network. The aim is to strengthen the capacity of local groups and individuals to design and carry out effective strategies that enhance the status of women from a legal, cultural, economic, political and social perspective and to adopt more appropriate and participatory methods of rights education within the context of varied development processes at the local, national, sub-regional, regional and international level.
Training and technical assistance have been designed to address:
- The need to strengthen women's rights groups within their communities as well as at the national, sub-regional, regional and international levels.
- The need to adopt more appropriate participatory methods of rights education within the context of varied development processes at all levels.
- The need for organisations to network, co-ordinate strategies and build a strong women's constituency at all levels.
