PRESIDENT MILLS APPOINTS MRS CHARLOTTE OSEI

President John Evans Atta Mills has appointed Mrs. Charlotte Kesson-Smith Osei as the Chairperson for the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE).

The appointment was made in consultation with the Council of State, a statement signed by Secretary to the President J.K. Bebaako-Mensah has said.

“The appointment takes immediate effect,” the statement noted. According to Joy News Mrs Osei replaces Mr Larry Bimi, who died in July this year.

A three-week training course in Advocacy and Citizen Engagement has opened in the Coady International Institute in the St Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada.
