We Know Politics II: Good Governance through Increasing Women's Participation in Ghana's Political Processes" (WKP II) is designed to create an environment where women are able to effectively participate in politics and public life. Four partner organizations collaborate in this initiative: WiLDAF Ghana, the Gender Studies and Human Rights Documentation Centre, The Hunger Project, Ghana, and the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA Ghana) who work in 24 different districts spread across all 10 Regions of the country.

The three year WKP II project has four main objectives: 1) an increase in the effectiveness of women's participation in politics and a corresponding improvement in the responsiveness of government policy to the needs of women; 2) ensuring that the Government of Ghana and the main political parties produce affirmative action policies designed to ensure at least 40% women's representation in party positions and elections; 3) increased public support for women's participation in politics; 4) peaceful elections at the district and national levels. WKP II is generously funded by the European Union (represented by the European Commission in Ghana), UK AID, Ghana, and WOMANKIND Worldwide UK, in concert with UK AID, London.
