Tool Kit on the
Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW)

The CEDAW tool kit is designed and produced by WiLDAF as a reference document aimed at providing civil society organisations, in particular women's rights organisations as well as government institutions with information that enables them to follow up on the implementation of the CEDAW. This will help particularly NGOs and other stakeholders who undertake the task of assisting their countries to prepare periodic reports to the CEDAW committee.

The toolkit gives clear guidelines on how NGOs can get involved in the reporting processes. NGOs can participate in consultations conducted at country level to prepare state reports and also the NGO shadow report. It also provides info on participation in the official session of the committee info in the toolkit: overview of CEDAW its key principles, general recommendations and reporting process, understanding the optional protocol to CEDAW, process for preparing NGO shadow report, appendices.
