Training Manual on Legal Literacy for Rural Women's Empowerment

Topics covered in the WiLDAF Ghana manual produced for the Rural Women's Empowerment Project include pertinent areas of human rights including decision making and land rights. The manual is therefore written in simple easy to understand language with illustrations that are self-explanatory. While simplistic, it nevertheless contains content relevant to the empowerment of the target beneficiary. The section of the first manual provides possible solutions to enhancing women's access and control over land. The second manual includes the following topics: introduction to gender, missions and role of a paralegal, techniques of legal assistance and consultation, communication, methodologies for community legal rights education, advocacy and lobbying.
